Kross and Kulacz Each Score Twice in, 25-4, Loss at Eastern Connecticut

Providence, R.I.—Senior midfielder Natalie Kulacz (Cumberland, R.I.) notched two goals as the Rhode Island College women's lacrosse team lost, 25-4, at Eastern Connecticut in Little East action on Thursday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Eastern scored the first seven goals of the contest, with six different Warriors scoring in that time span. RIC would ultimately trail, 15-1, at the half.
 
• In the fourth quarter, Kulacz and sophomore attacker Maddie Kross (Peachtree City, GA) each scored a goal within a minute and a half span (5:58; 4:38).
 
• Kulacz and Kross each finished with two goals. Kulacz scooped up three ground balls and caused one turnover.
 
• ECSU had six student-athletes register hat trick. Junior attacker Shay Ventresca (Oakdale, Conn.) led the way with four goals and five assists for a nine-point effort.
 
• Junior goalie Shannon O'Connell (Narragansett, R.I.) made four saves and took the loss (0-4).
 
• ECSU freshman goalie Emma Alford (West Hartford, Conn.) picked up her first collegiate win (1-1) with a three-save effort.

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will continue Little East action at Plymouth State on Saturday, April 16 (noon).
