Men's Tennis Defeats Wentworth, 6-3

Providence, R.I.--Sophomore Jack Cadden (Mattapoisett, Mass.) clinched a 6-3 win for the Rhode Island College men's tennis team vs. Wentworth on Tuesday afternoon at the RIC Tennis Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC swept all three doubles matches as Cadden and classmate Josh Brien (Johnston, R.I.) combined for an 8-5 victory at No. 2 doubles.
 
• Freshman Elijah Gouin (Glocester, R.I.) put the hosts up, 4-0, with a straight set (6-4, 6-2) victory at No. 4 singles before Cadden closed out the match.
 
• Cadden, Gouin and freshman Noah Morin (Smithfield, R.I.) each posted 2-0 marks on the day.
 
• The Anchormen and Leopards split, 3-3, the six singles contests.
 
• It was the first match in 2022 for the Anchormen, who bested Albertus Magnus, 5-4, in their lone match of the fall semester on Oct. 3.

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will host Curry on Thursday, March 24 (3:30 p.m.).
