Boston, Mass.--Freshman guard
Madison Medbury (Scituate, R.I.) scored a career-high13 points in 15 minutes off the bench as the Rhode Island College women's basketball team got back into the win column with a 66-54 win at UMass Boston in Little East action on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC scored the first nine points of the contest, which kept the Beacons in the rearview for the rest of the first half, to lead, 28-18, after the first two quarters of play.
• RIC would lead by as much as 22 points, the last instance coming with 6:31 left in the fourth quarter thanks to a Medbury field goal from long range. UMass Boston would go on a slight scoring run at the end, but RIC prevailed to win by double-digits.
• Medbury's 13 points came via 4-for-9 shooting from the field. She was 1-for-2 from three-point range and a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line.
• Junior guard
Jeniyah Jones (Randolph, Mass.) registered another all-around game for the Anchorwomen, with nine points, eight rebounds, three assists and five steals on the day.
• Sophomore guard
Ashanti Frazier (Newington, Conn.) scored 11 points, her eighth game this year with10 or more points.
• UMass senior guard
Meg Dixon (Hanover, Mass.) netted a game-high 29 points and 11 rebounds in the loss.
