Antonia Corsinetti (Johnston, R.I.) scored a team-high 17 points as the Rhode Island College women's basketball team picked up their seventh straight victory in a Little East Conference showdown at UMass Boston, 65-55, on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC held an eight point, 12-4, lead after senior guard
Jeniyah Jones (Randolph, Mass.) converted a layup with around four minutes left. Both teams would fail to score over the remainder of the quarter.

• The Beacons hung tough in the second quarter, getting as close as one point, 20-19, after a jumper by graduate forward
Meg Dixon (Hanover, Mass.) with two minutes to go. The Anchorwomen would take a two-point, 26-24, advantage into the break.

• UMB took its first lead of the entire game, 32-31, with 5:30 left in the third quarter and expanded it on the Beacons' next possession thanks to back-to-back three-pointers by senior forward
Paige Ollivierre (Newton, Mass.). RIC would outscore the hosts, 16-7, to take the lead back and hold a five-point advantage, 47-42, lead going into the final frame.

• UMass Boston pulled within two points on multiple occasions, but Corsinetti and the Anchorwomen proved to be too much on offense. She netted five of her 17 points in the final leg, which included the final two points of the game from the free throw line to ice the game.

Madison Medbury (Scituate, R.I.) had 12 points for the Anchorwomen with four rebounds and three assists.

• Jones filled the stat sheet with 11 rebounds, nine points, four assists and a pair of steals.

• Dixon had 23 points, eight rebounds and five assists for the hosts, while junior forward
Alexah Potter (Manchester, Conn.) contributed 18 points, nine rebounds and five blocks.
