Anchormen Stumble at UMass Boston

Boston, Mass.--Junior forward Kalu Uga (Hyde Park, Mass.) led the way with 14 point as the Rhode Island College men's basketball team fell at UMass Boston, 79-62, in Little East action on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC went on a 7-0 run to take the lead, 9-7, with roughly 16 minutes remaining in the first half. UMB would outscore RIC, 32-17, for the remainder of the half and take a 13-point, 39-26, lead into halftime.
 
• The Beacons would take care of business for the remainder of the contest, holding a 20+-point lead for the majority of the second half.
 
• Junior forward Mitchel Noresca (North Providence, R.I.) almost had a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds.
 
• UMB sophomore guard Emanuel Zayas (Hollywood, Fla.) netted a team high 21 points for the and corralled seven rebounds. Freshman guard Xavier McKenzie (Lowell, Mass.) notched 15 points and eight assists.
