RIC Falls vs. No. 21 Babson

Providence, R.I.--Senior forward Izabelle Booth (Newport, R.I.) hauled in a game-high 12 rebounds as the Rhode Island College women's basketball team was upended by No. 21 Babson, 62-34, in the Anchorwomen's 2022-23 home opener at The Murray Center on Wednesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Babson took its first lead at 7:22 of the first quarter after a three-pointer by junior forward Madison Odam (San Jose, Calif.). The Beavers never looked back.
 
• RIC scored single digit points in each of the first three quarters (eight in the first, six in the second, seven in the third). The Beavers notched 22 points in the first quarter and 23 points in the third to roll to an easy victory.
 
• Booth had 12 rebounds and seven points.
 
• Sophomore forward Angelina Nardolillo (Hinsdale, N.H.) led the Anchorwomen with eight points and also had 12 boards.
 
• Babson junior guard Kelly Walsh (Goffstown, N.H.) led the charge with 17 points, four rebounds and six steals. Odam had a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds.
 
• With 34 points tonight, RIC had its lowest scoring output since the team's, 55-28, loss to Amherst on Jan. 8, 2018.

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will host Endicott on Saturday, Nov. 19 (1 p.m.).
