Izabelle Booth (Newport, R.I.) scored a team-high 16 points as the Rhode Island College women's basketball team fell at Smith, 76-41, in the championship game of the Tyler Tip-Off Tournament on Sunday afternoon.

• Smith started the game scoring the first seven points of the quarter. They would take that lead and expand it to 11, 24-13, to end the first frame. The Pioneers were led by nine points from junior guard
Amelia Clairmont (Laconia, N.H.).

• SC powered its way to a dominant second quarter as well, taking a sizable 16-point, 39-23, lead heading into halftime.

• Smith put the game out of reach with a 22-7 third quarter and headed into the final stanza with a 31-point advantage.

• Booth scored five of her 16 points in the last quarter.

The Pioneers had three student-athletes score in double-figures, highlighted by junior guard
Jessie Ruffner (Rocklin, Calif.) and graduate forward
Katelyn Pickunka (Westhampton, Mass.).

• Ruffner led the game with 19 points, 11 rebounds and four assists, while Pickunka contributed 14 points and 10 rebounds, while also racking up six steals.
