Women's Tennis Rolls Past Winless Albertus Magnus

New Haven, Conn.—The Rhode Island College women's tennis team rolled past winless Albertus Magnus, registering six shutouts along the way, with a 9-0 shutout on Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC took all three pairs matches, highlighted by sophomore Amara Devine's (Greenville, R.I.) and junior Amiah Sommer's (Cumberland, R.I.), 8-0, shutout at No. 2 doubles.
 
• The Anchorwomen then took all six singles matches, which included (6-0, 6-0) shutouts at the third through the sixth flights.
 
• Senior Sarah Gonick (Kingston, Mass.) did not lose a game (6-0, 6-0) in her win at third singles.
 
• The Anchorwomen were playing back-to-back matches after securing a 9-0 win at home vs. Salem State on Saturday afternoon.
 
WHAT'S NEXT
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will resume Little East action at home vs. UMass Dartmouth on Tuesday, Oct. 11 (3:30 p.m.).
