HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC led, 13-12, midway through the first set. The Lancers then rattled off six straight points to take an 18-13 lead and never looked back, winning the frame by seven, 25-18.

• Worcester State started the second stanza off hot, picking up the first six points of the set. The Anchorwomen chipped away and got the score to as close as two, 19-17, but couldn't close the gap on the Lancers and eventually losing by four, 25-21.

• It was all WSU in set three, as the hosts took care of business to the tune of a 25-14 victory.

• Senior outside hitter
Amelia Murphy (North Attleboro, Mass.) led the visitors with a match-high eight kills. Sophomore setter
Natalie Reid (North Attleboro, Mass.) handed out 12 assists.

• WSU senior and freshman outside hitters
Camryn Burgio (Quincy, Mass.) and
Cassidy D'Esposito (Medford, Mass.) each led the Lancers with seven kills.
