Anchorwomen Close Out Season With, 3-0, Loss at Keene State

Keene, N.H.--Senior outside hitter Amelia Murphy (North Attleboro, Mass.) racked up double-digit kills as the Rhode Island College women's volleyball team closed out the 2022 season with a 3-0 setback at Keene State on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The first set was tied, 11-11, until the Owls strung together multiple runs to sink the Anchorwomen by six, 25-19.
 
• The Owls kept RIC at a distance for the entirety of the second stanza (25-17) and rolled in set three (25-18) to pick up the shutout win.
 
• Murphy had 10 kills and eight digs. She finishes her Anchorwomen career with 1,059 kills, which ranks her fourth all-time in program history.
 
• Sophomore setter Natalie Reid (North Attleboro, Mass.) registered 22 assists on the day. Sophomore middle hitter Megan Philbrick (Johnston, R.I.) had five kills.
 
• KSU Senior outside hitters Cassidy Samuelson (Shirley, N.H.) and Sydney Johnson (Brentwood, N.H.) each had double-digit kills, with 11 and 10, respectively.
