Serena Bobola (Cranston, R.I.) clinched a 5-0 shutout win with a straight set victory at No. 6 singles as No. 2 Rhode Island College defeated No. 3 Bridgewater State in the semifinals of the 2022 Little East Women's Tennis Championship on Thursday afternoon at the RIC Tennis Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchorwomen swept all three doubles matches to take a 3-0 lead into singles action. Senior
Jenna Lisi (Cranston, R.I.) and junior
Lauren Macera (Cranston, R.I.) secured an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles.
• Lisi won in straight sets (6-0, 6-1) at No. 1 singles and Bobola closed it out with a sweep (6-2, 6-2) at sixth singles.
• Rhode Island College will travel to No. 1-seeded UMass Boston for the finals of the 2022 Little East Women's Tennis Championship on Saturday, Oct. 22 (2 p.m.). The match will be played at the B.C. High Tennis Courts.
• RIC is playing in the Little East finals for the seventh consecutive season (and eight of the last nine) and has won the LEC Tournament Championship in each of the past five campaigns.
• The Anchorwomen were edged by the Beacons, 5-4, in the regular season finale on Oct. 15.
• RIC defeated Bridgewater State, 9-0, in the two clubs' regular season meeting on Sept. 17.
