Hannah Davis (Wells, Maine) picked up three service aces as the Rhode Island College women's volleyball team was downed by Connecticut College, 3-0, at The Murray Center on Tuesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Camels were in control of the game from the opening whistle. In set one, they stormed out to a 6-0 lead and were up by as many as 13 points in a 25-14 win.

• Set two went much the same for the Camels, who were up by double digits again (21-11), before finishing off the Anchorwomen by nine, 25-16.

• RIC showed some resilience in set three, but fell short once again. The game was close with CC in the lead by one, 8-7. The Camels would then go on a big run, keeping RIC at arm's length the remainder of the stanza, to win by six, 25-19. Davis registered a kill and rattled off three straight service aces to prolong the match.

• Senior outside hitter
Amelia Murphy (North Attleboro, Mass.) notched seven kills on the night and now sits just nine away from 1,000 in her career.

• CC sophomore outside hitter
Katherine Randall (Chicago, Ill.) knocked down a match-high seven kills. Junior setter
Natasha Shrivastava (San Diego, Calif.) and freshman setter
Olivia Dow (San Anselmo, Calif.) each notched double-digits in assists with 11 and 10, respectively.
