HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchorwomen controlled much of the opening set and won by three, 25-22.

• The hosts jumped out to a 16-11 lead in the second set and never looked back, going on a 9-6 run to win by eight, 25-17.

• Southern Maine held a 13-10 lead midway through the second half, before RIC climbed back to take 20-19 advantage. RIC went ahead, 21-20, and used a 4-2 run to seal the win, 25-22.

• Senior outside hitter
Amelia Murphy (North Attleboro, Mass.) posted a double-double with 13 kills and 14 digs. She now needs 16 kills to reach 1,000 for her career.

• Sophomore setter
Natalie Reid (North Attleboro, Mass.) handed out a match-best 33 assists.

• USM junior outside hitters
Brianna Delloiacono (Moodus, Conn.) and
Meg Pery (Gorham, Maine) led the visitors with 10 kills apiece. Senior setter
Sophie Lindsay (Pasadena, Calif.) had 20 assists, while junior libero

• The win stopped a seven-match losing streak for the Anchorwomen, while the Huskies have now dropped four in a row.
