Gorham, Maine--The Rhode Island College women's tennis team gave up a mere one point all day as they swept through Little East foe Southern Maine, 9-0, on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC defeated Southern Maine, 3-0, in doubles, with the tandem of senior Jenna Lisi (Cranston, R.I.) and junior Lauren Macera (Cranston, R.I.) earning a perfect 8-0 victory in No. 1 doubles.
 
• Senior Sarah Gonick (Kingston, Mass.) clinched the match at No. 4 doubles (6-0, 6-0).
 
• Every singles bout was a RIC shutout (6-0, 6-0) victory, except for No. 6 singles, which was a forfeit win for senior Serena Bobola (Cranston, R.I.).
 
• The Anchorwomen improved to 35-1 in singles play and 18-0 in doubles play on the season.
 
• Southern Maine has lost all eight of its contests this year by a score of 9-0.
