Joey Coro (North Providence, R.I.) went 4-for-8 with three runs scored and three RBI as the Rhode Island College baseball team swept Plymouth State in a doubleheader (16-6; 4-3) in Little East action played at Pontarelli Field on Friday afternoon.

• Rhode Island College recognized the four seniors prior to the start of game one: second basemen

• RIC jumped on the board first as freshman center fielder
Cameron Santerre (Bristol, R.I.) hit a lead-off double in the bottom of the first, advanced to third on an errant throw and was driven in on a junior right fielder
Nick D'Ambra (Coventry, R.I.) ground out in the next at-bat.

• RIC platted three more runs in the second frame, highlighted by a Santerre RBI triple down the right field line, to stake RIC to a 4-0 lead.

• PSU scored a pair of runs in the third stanza with a graduate left fielder
Andrew Salta (Laconia, N.H.) single to left field that drove in two runners to cut the Anchormen lead down to two, 4-2.

• The Anchormen managed to score three more runs in the third thanks to a Vigeant single through the right side of the infield that allowed two runs to score.

• Morel hit a sacrifice fly to push another run across in during the third to give the hosts a 7-2 advantage.

• The Panthers scored four runs in the fifth as Salta hit a two-run home run and graduate third basemen
James Salta (Laconia, N.H.) launched a two-run blast of his own to cut the Anchorman lead down to one, 7-6.

• The Anchormen scored a pair of runs in the fifth with RBI from Morel and Santerre to give RIC a three-run, 9-6, cushion.

• RIC added another run in the fifth as Santerre crossed the plate on a wild pitch.

• PSU cut the RIC lead down to one, 2-1, in the sixth inning as junior catcher
Brody Fillion (Littleton, N.H.) drove in a run on a ground out to second.

• RIC pushed one run in during the sixth as Coro notched a lead-off walk and came around to score on a Santerre double to left center.

• PSU cut the lead down to one once again as sophomore first basemen
Griffin Crane (Lancaster, N.H.) tripled to right field and came in to score on an errant throw during the next at-bat.

Andy Wasilefsky (Willington, Conn.) crossed the plate on a wild pitch with two outs in the ninth.

• RIC got their first two runners aboard in the home half of the ninth and set up a walk-off opportunity for Vigeant, who came through in the clutch and hit a flare to left field to score freshman first basemen
