Ray Zincone (West Warwick, R.I.) knocked in RIC's only run as the No. 3-seeded Anchormen fell at No. 2-seeded Southern Maine, 12-1, at the Little East Baseball Championship, played at USM's Ed Flaherty Field on Saturday afternoon. The loss eliminates RIC from the tournament.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Zincone staked the visitors to a 1-0 with an RBI double in the top of the first inning.
• USM stormed back with three runs in the bottom of the first, two in the second and another three in the third to build an 8-1 lead.
• The Huskies put across four runs in the bottom of the fifth to go up by 11 and end the game early due to the 10-run rule.
• RIC sophomore starter
Connor Davey (Cheshire, Conn.) suffered the loss (4-4).
• USM junior starter
Josh Joy (Smithfield, Maine) earned the win (4-3), allowing just one run on two hits in six innings of work.
