Peachtree Crossing, Ga.—Senior Victoria Vittori (New Bedford, Mass.) picked up a straight set win at No. 5 singles to lead Rhode Island College past Farmingdale State, 5-0, in first round action of the 2021 NCAA Div. III Women's Tennis Championship at Lifetime Fitness on Friday morning.

• Senior Serena Bobola (Cranston, R.I.) and freshman Lauren Macera (Cranston, R.I.) defeated Farmingdale freshman Mia Murrell (Shirley, N.Y.) and sophomore Katherine Del Valle (Copiague, N.Y.), 8-1, at No. 3 doubles to start the match.
 
• Seniors Hailey Raskob (North Smithfield, R.I.) and Grace Zangari (Saunderstown, R.I.) earned an 8-0 shutout vs. FSU freshman Stephanie Negrillo (West Islip, N.Y.) and sophomore Shari Jackson (Copiague, N.Y.) at No. 2 doubles.
 
• Sophomore Jenna Lisi (Cranston, R.I.) and Vittori made it a clean sweep of doubles with an 8-2 win over Farmingdale freshman Anastasia Hoffman (North Massapequa, N.Y.) and sophomore Rosa Lettieri (West Islip, N.Y.) at No. 1 doubles.
 
• Macera opened singles with a (6-0, 6-2) win over Jackson at No. 4 singles.
 
• Vittori sent the Anchorwomen into the second round with a (6-0, 6-0) shutout vs. Murrell at No. 5 singles.
 
• In other action, Lisi was leading Hoffman (6-0, 2-0) at No. 1 singles.
 
• Zangari was leading Lettieri (4-2) at No. 2 singles.
 
• Negrillo was leading Raskob (4-3) at No. 3 singles.
 
• Bobola was leading freshman Stephanie Pariona (Massapequa, N.Y.) (6-2. 2-0) at No. 6 singles.
