Providence, R.I.—Senior first baseman
Amber Wainwright (Taunton, Mass.) went 2-for-7 with two runs scored, a grand slam and five RBI to bring her career total to 100 as Rhode Island College swept a doubleheader from Keene State in Little East softball action played at the Dayna A. Bazar Softball Complex on Friday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Game One:
• The Anchorwomen went up, 4-0, in the bottom of the first on an RBI single from freshman first baseman
Katelyn Ashe (Colchester, Conn.), a two-run double by sophomore shortstop
Cassidy Schoen (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) and a run-scoring single by junior third baseman
Reilly Clancey (Narragansett, R.I.).
• The hosts tacked on one run in the second on a senior first baseman
Amber Wainwright (Taunton, Mass.) RBI groundout.
• Ashe doubled in a pair, while sophomore catcher
Alex Boyce (Wolcott, Conn.) hit a sacrifice fly to put the Anchorwomen up, 8-0, heading into the top of the fifth.
• Keene State loaded the bases with no outs and kept the game going as sophomore second baseman
Oliva Albert (Old Town, Maine) was hit by a pitch and senior pitcher
Alexis Blanchette (Hopkinton, N.H.) hit a sacrifice fly.
• The Anchorwomen were able to end the game early with two runs in the bottom of the fifth as sophomore pinch runner
Shannon McDonald (Saunderstown, R.I.) scored on an error and Ashe walked with the bases loaded to secure the win.

Caitlin Lopez (Cranston, R.I.) picked up the win (4-5). Blanchette took the loss (2-6).
Game Two:
• Ashe and Schoen had RBI singles in the first to stake RIC to a 2-0 advantage.
• The Anchorwomen put six across in the third, highlighted by Wainwright's grand slam to bring her career RBI total to the century mark.
• Keene State scored twice in the top of the third on a sophomore shortstop
Sara Cote (Lisbon, Conn.) sacrifice fly and an RBI single by junior left fielder
Kylie Frank (Acton, Mass.).
• The Anchorwomen put six on the board again in the third, which was paced by a Katz two-run single.
• RIC scored four times in the fourth, led by junior third baseman
Katrina Kazen's (Warwick, R.I.) bases loaded clearing three-run double.
• Keene scored three times in the fifth before freshman pitcher
Tatiana Burcy (Boston, Mass.) slammed the door for good in her second (2-6) win of the year.
• Albert took the loss for KSC (2-9).
BY THE NUMBERS
• Ashe went 4-for-6 with four runs scored, a double and seven RBI. Katz went 4-for-7 with five runs scored, two RBI and a stolen base.
• Frank went 3-for-5 with two runs scored, a double and an RBI.
