HOW IT HAPPENED
Game One
• The Warriors were on the board early and often as they saw three runners cross the plate to take an early, 3-0, lead in the bottom of the first.

• The second frame proved to be similar results for the hosts as they pushed across three more runs to take a commanding, 6-0, lead.

• As the Anchorwomen offense struggled to get anything going in the early stages of the game, the Warriors bats did not slow down.

• Eastern Connecticut was able to score nine more runs in the third inning, which enabled the Warriors to end the game early.

• The Anchorwomen were able to record their first hit in the top of the fifth inning with a single by freshman left fielder Tatiana Burcy (Boston, Mass.), which ended the no-hit bid by junior pitcher Carley Stoker (Sandy Creek, N.Y.).

• Stoker earned the win (3-0), allowing just two hits, while striking out seven, in five innings. RIC sophomore pitcher Faith Turinese (Plainville, Mass.) suffered the loss (0-1).

Game Two
• The Anchorwomen offense had it going in the first inning, scoring three runs on four hits.

• Freshman first basemen Katelyn Ashe (Colchester, Conn.) hit a single that scored both LeBelle and junior center fielder Avery Katz (Brookfield, Conn.) to put the Anchorwomen ahead, 2-0, to open the game. Ashe later scored on a wild pitch to add another run.

• Katz tripled in her second at-bat of the game, scoring sophomore left fielder Julie Vincent (Norwich, Conn.) to push the Anchorwomen ahead after two innings, 4-0.

• Eastern Connecticut put two runs up on the board in the home half of the third inning, which cut the RIC lead down to just two, 4-2.

• The Warriors bats came alive in the fourth inning, as they score five runs on five hits, and took a 7-4 lead.

• ECSU increased their lead in the bottom of the fifth as they added three runs on three hits and one error to go up by a commanding six runs, 10-4.

• Eastern Connecticut scored two more runs on a junior third basemen Carolyn Biel (Wallingford, Conn.) double to put the game to rest early.
