HOW IT HAPPENED
• Southern Maine held a lead for most of the first quarter, going into the first break up by a pair, 17-15.

• Rhode Island College allowed a three-point shot to junior guard
Megan King (Derry, N.H.) with 7:52 left in the second quarter. RIC did not allow another USM point for the rest of the half, ending the quarter on a 9-0 run. RIC led by six, 26-20, at the break.

• After heading into the final quarter with a 15-point, 46-31, lead, USM went on an impressive run of its own, scoring 12 straight to cut the RIC lead down to just three, 46-43, with 7:41 left in regulation.

• The Anchorwomen responded with yet another scoring run, led by sophomore guard
Ashanti Frazier (Newington, Conn.). RIC led by 11, 56-45, with roughly four minutes remaining and would hold the lead until the final buzzer.

• Gallagher registered a season-high 11 points to go along with two rebounds and two assists off of the bench.

• Frazier scored 10 points and pulled down a team-high six boards.

Antonia Corsinetti (Johnston, R.I.) led the Anchorwomen in scoring with a 13-point effort.

Victoria Harris (Atlus, Okla.) notched a game-high 13 points and seven rebounds in a losing effort.

• RIC shot 40 percent (18-for-45) from the field, 27 percent (6-for-22) from downtown and 72 percent (22-for-31) from the free throw line.

• Southern Maine shot 31 percent (18-for-59) from the field, 27 percent (4-for-15) from behind the three-point arc and 67 percent (16-for-24) from the free throw line.

• The Anchorwomen shot 31 free throws, the second most this season (34 attempts vs. Bridgewater State on Nov. 23.).
