Angelina Nardolillo (Hinsdale, N.H.) recorded a team-high nine points and seven rebounds as the Rhode Island College women's basketball team lost vs. Trinity, 52-38, at the Murray Center on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The teams were neck and neck going into the end of the first quarter when Trinity senior center
Elizabeth Althoff (Staten Island, N.Y.) hit a last second layup to send the Bantams into the first intermission up by one, 11-10.
• Junior guard
Jeniyah Jones (Randolph, Mass.) made a free throw with 5:47 left in the second stanza to give the Anchorwomen a one-point advantage, 17-16. TC blanked the hosts for the remainder of the quarter, going on an 8-0 run thanks to buckets by four different Bantams. Trinity led by seven, 24-17, at the mid-way point.
• RIC would not score again until 6:20 of the third quarter when junior guard
Maci Dorantes (Bristol, Conn.) snaked her way to the basket and converted a layup to make it a seven-point deficit, 26-19. The Anchorwomen would add a couple more before Trinity would erase RIC's progress, going into the final frame up by seven, 34-27.
• Trinity came out of the gate hot in the final quarter, thanks to sophomore guard
Tori Varsamis (Belmont, Mass.) who scored seven of her nine points in a 1:16 span to start the frame. The Bantams would raise their lead as high as 16 points en route to their third win of the season.
• Dorantes contributed seven points and three rebounds off of the bench.
• Trinity senior guard
Bailey Hyland (Broad Brook, Conn.) led the way for the visitors with 12 points and four boards.
BY THE NUMBERS
• RIC shot 32 percent (16-for-15) from the field, zero percent (0-for-14) from long range and 40 percent (6-for-15) from the free throw line.
• The Bantams shot 38 percent (23-for-61) from the field, 23 percent (3-for-13) from downtown and 33 percent (3-for-9) from the free throw line.
• The loss stops a three-game win streak for the Anchorwomen.
