Rutland, Vt.--Junior Nate Chhim (Tiverton, R.I.) earned All-Little East honors with a fifth place finish as the Rhode Island College men's golf team finished fourth (five teams) at the 2021 Little East Championship, played at Rutland Country Club on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 8-9.
 
THE BASICS
• The event was held at Rutland Country Club, which is a par 70.
 
• The Anchormen posted a 697 (344, 353; +137).
 
• Eastern Connecticut finished first with a team score 615 (297, 318; +55). Castleton was second at 647 (313, 334; +87), while Southern Maine took third at 657 (320, 337; +97). Western Connecticut was fifth at 796 (390, 406; +236).
 
• 24 golfers competed at the event.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Chimm tied for fifth with a two-day score of 162 (83, 79; +22).
 
• Junior Anthony Loiselle (Providence, R.I.) shot a 170 (83, 87; +30) and placed 15^th overall.
 
• Junior Will Niles (Warwick, R.I.) finished with a score of 174 (86, 88; +34) for a 16^th place finish.
 
• Senior Matt Malo (Cranston, R.I.) finished in 21^st place, shooting a 193 (92, 101; +53).
 
• Freshman Shane Mello (Somerset, Mass.) placed 22^nd with a score of 195 (96, 99; +55).
