Hyde Park, Mass.--Junior Anthony Loiselle (Providence, R.I.) shot a 76 (+6) to finish second overall as the Rhode Island College men's golf team tied for first (five teams) at the Emmanuel College Invitational on Tuesday afternoon.
 
THE BASICS
• The event was held at the George Wright Golf Course and was a par 70. 24 golfers participated in the event.
 
• The Anchormen and Roger Williams each totaled a team score of 321 to finish first overall.
 
• Wentworth finished third (322), Dean placed third (372) and Emmanuel was fifth (454).
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Junior Nate Chhim (Tiverton, R.I.) placed fifth with a 79 (+9)
 
• Junior Will Niles (Warwick, R.I.) tied for sixth overall with an 80 (+10).
 
• Freshman Shane Mello (Somerset, Mass.) tied for 12th with an 86 (+16).
 
• Freshman Cameron Mello (Somerset, Mass.) placed 20th with a 97 (+27).
 
WHAT'S NEXT
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will travel to Rutland Country Club (Vt.) to compete at the 2021 Little East Championship, hosted by Castleton, on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 8-9.
