Williamstown, Mass.—Sophomore center Willcia McBorrough (Providence, RI) notched a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds, while senior forward Fataya Larry (Brooklyn, NY) was named to the All-Tournament Team, as the Rhode Island College women's basketball team suffered a, 47-46, setback at Williams College in the finals of the Morin Memorial Tournament on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• There were 17 lead changes in the second half alone. The game-winning bucket was scored with 1:34 remaining in the fourth quarter when Williams junior guard Maggie Meehan (Southington, CT) hit an isolation jump shot. 

• The first quarter did not show much offense by either side. Both defenses were creating turnovers and Williams led, 11-10, after the first frame.

• The second quarter was a near repeat of the first, both defenses standing tall and creating turnovers. The second quarter concluded with a score of 21-20 in favor of Williams following a WC junior Mikaela Topper basket with one second left.

• WC led after the third quarter, again by a single point, 29-28.

• Williams finished the game hitting four three-point shots. The two biggest treys of the game came from WC senior Emily Chang, who hit two with under four minutes left. 

• RIC senior guard Jordyn Gauvin (Fall River, MA) drilled a jumper with 1:54 remaining to give the Anchorwomen a 46-45 lead. Gauvin had a three-point shot attempt in the final seconds to win the game for the visitors, but the hosts held on for the win.

• Gauvin finished with six points and 11 boards. Larry registered a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds and junior guard Sophia Guerrier (Waltham, MA) contributed 10 points and seven rebounds.

• Meehan finished with 13 points, three steals, two rebounds and one assist for the Ephs.

BY THE NUMBERS
• RIC shot 31 percent (20-for-64) from the field, five percent (1-for-20) from three-point range and 100 percent (5-for-5) from the foul line.

• WC shot 34 percent (19-for-56) from the field, 22 percent (4-for-18) from downtown and 71 percent (5-for-7) from the foul line.

• RIC held the advantage on the glass, 47-34, and outscored WC in the paint, 28-20.
