Box Score Providence, R.I.--Sophomore forward Brandon Ramos (Boston, MA) scored twice as the Rhode Island College men's soccer team defeated Plymouth State, 3-1, in Little East action played at Alumni Field on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchormen wasted no time getting on the scoreboard when junior midfielder Sa-Leem Kamarah (North Providence, RI) set up freshman forward Thomas Aldana (Providence, RI) for his team-leading fifth goal of the season in ninth minute of action.
• RIC increased its lead when senior midfielder Jack Clancey (Narragansett, RI) found Ramos for his first goal of the day, and second of the season, to put the Anchormen up by a pair, 2-0, in the 22nd minute.
• The Panthers were able to put in their only goal of the day during the last seconds of the first half. Junior midfielder Erik Armskog (Gothenburg, Sweden) redirected the ball into the net off a rebound, which followed a shot from sophomore forward Ryan Brown (Milton, VT), with three seconds left in the half, to pull the visitors within a goal at the half.
• RIC iced the game in the 61st minute when Clancey delivered a perfect through ball to find Ramos once again, who notched his third of the season and helped the Anchormen increase their winning streak to four games.
BY THE NUMBERS
• RIC junior goalkeeper Charlie Tashjian (West Warwick, RI) made 12 saves in the win (6-4-1).
• PSU junior goalkeeper Linus Lindeberg (Stockholm, Sweden) made six saves in the loss (1-6-3).
• RIC held the advantage in shots, 20-16 and corner kicks, 6-4.
