HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC junior forward Justin Campbell (New Haven, CT) scored a team-best 17 points with six rebounds.
• Sophomore guard CJ Donaldson (Bridgeport, CT) tallied 16 points, seven assists and four rebounds for the Anchormen.
• Senior guard Roosevelt Shider (Meriden, CT) was also in double figures with 11 points in the victory.

• Freshman guard Michal Ohradka (Feeding Hills, MI) was also in double figures with 10 points, five boards and four assists in the loss for the Blazers.
• The two teams traded leads in the early stages with the score tied, 14-14, midway through the first half.
• Elms then used a 20-10 run, capped by a three-pointer from Metelus, to take its first double-digit advantage, 34-24 with 1:34 left in the stanza.
• The Anchormen responded and closed out the half on a 9-0 run and trailed by just one, 34-33, at halftime.
• RIC controlled the action to start the second half, using an 18-4 run to start the stanza, capped by a layup from Shider, to take a 51-38 advantage with 8:17 left in the contest.
• Elms cut the deficit down to just four points on a jumper from Metelus, making the score 53-49 with 4:58 left on the clock.
• That would be as close as the Blazers would get as RIC pulled away down the stretch to take the 71-59 victory, led by several Donaldson free throws.
