THE BASICS
Rhode Island College 20, Curry College 11
Rhode Island College (7-19)
Curry College (6-23)

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Gallagher started the scoring off in the opening frame with a two-run double, but the hosts responded with five runs in the bottom half of the first to pull ahead, 5-2.

• However, the Anchormen notched four walks in the first five batters of the second inning, which started a six-run stanza for the visitors, as they would lead, 8-6, after two.

• Senior first baseman Daniel Cascio (East Hampton, Conn.) launched a three-run homer and freshman designated hitter Ryan O'Leary (Foxboro, Mass.) pitched in with an RBI single as RIC built a 14-6 lead.

• Both teams traded three runs apiece in the bottom of the sixth through the top of the seventh, but the early damage by the Anchormen put this one out of reach for the hosts.

• Junior shortstop Parker Camelo (Bristol, R.I.) went 3-for-4 with three RBI, five runs scored and a pair of walks.

• O'Leary finished the day going 2-for-4 with two runs scored and a walk.

• Junior pitcher Stephen Sullivan (Acton, Mass.) got the win (2-3).
