HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME ONE

• Bolwell posted two RBI to rally the Anchormen in a six-run stretch between the fifth and sixth innings to take the lead by five, 7-2.

• Two runs from the Panthers in the seventh did not trouble RIC one bit as sophomore left fielder George Threats (Cranston, R.I.) answered with a three-run homer in the bottom of the eighth to give the hosts an eight-run, 12-4, cushion.

• RIC held off one final push from the visitors in the ninth.

• Freshman pitcher Cameron Laramee (Pascoag, R.I.) went six innings and struck out four to secure the win (2-1).

GAME TWO
• Senior right fielder CJ Almagno (North Providence, R.I.) notched an RBI single in the bottom half of the opening frame to get the scoring going for the hosts.

• Classmate first baseman Daniel Cascio (East Hampton, Conn.) tripled in a run, then Camelo notched RBI doubles in the fourth and sixth innings to help put RIC lead by a pair, 5-3.

• However, the Panthers found their stride in the eighth frame as they dealt the hosts seven runs to crush the Anchormen's hopes of a sweep.

• Junior pitcher Jake Foster (Lincoln, R.I.) went 4.1 innings and came away with the loss (3-2).
