Sarina Marines (Cranston, R.I.) notched a match-high 18 kills as Rhode Island College swept Southern Maine, 3-0, for its first Little East win of the season at The Murray Center on Saturday afternoon.

• Rhode Island College honored nine seniors on Senior Day prior to the match.

• An early, 7-2, start in favor of the Anchorwomen put them in the driver's seat for the majority of the first set, before a late run by the visitors was shut down as RIC won, 25-21.

Talia Lewis (Sacramento, Calif.) put RIC ahead, 15-11, before a tight battle during the later stretch of the second stanza tested the hosts, but RIC prevailed by a pair, 25-23.

• The Huskies opened up the third frame on fire and built a 15-11 lead, but the Anchorwomen tied it up at 15 apiece with back-to-back kills by Marines and senior outside hitter
Marina Colonis (Waterford, Conn.) who racked up her 10th winner, to help the hosts seal the sweep.
