2025 Rhode Island College Baseball Season Summary

Providence, R.I.--Head Coach Cody Kauffman's team finished the  2025 season with a 17-23 record and an 8-8 (fifth place) mark in the Little East.
 
The No. 5-seeded Anchormen went 2-2 during a solid run at the 2025 Little East Championship, falling to the No. 3-seeded Eastern Connecticut, 13-3, to end the season on May 10.
 
Fifth-year pitcher Samuel Gray (Rockland, Mass.) appeared in 14 games, starting eight of them. He was 2-6 with a 6.04 ERA and 45 strikeouts in 47.2 innings pitched.
 
He is a finance major and a 2018 graduate of Rockland High School. Prior to attending RIC, Gray spent two seasons at UMass Boston and one at Div. I Maine.
 
Fifth-year catcher David Iannuccilli (Johnston, R.I.) closed out his Rhode Island College career, having played in 110 games, starting 77 of them. He batted .208 (55-for-265) with 49 runs scored, 55 hits, six doubles, one home run, 29 RBI and two stolen bases. He owned a .242 slugging percentage, a .345 on-base percentage and a .995 fielding percentage.
 
As a fifth-year in 2025, Iannuccilli played in 24 games, starting all of them. He batted .164 (12-for-73) with nine runs scored, 12 hits, one double and four RBI. He owned a .178 slugging percentage, a .307 on-base percentage and a 1.000 fielding percentage.
 
As a senior in 2024, Iannuccilli played 20 games and started in 17 of them. He batted .226 (14-for-62), with 12 runs scored, 14 hits, two doubles, one home run, 11 RBI and one stolen base. Iannuccilli owned a .306 slugging percentage, a .342 on-base percentage and a .985 fielding percentage.
 
As a junior in 2023, Iannuccilli played in 32 games, starting in 20 of them. He batted .219 (16-for-73) with 17 runs scored, 16 hits, one double, eight RBI and one stolen base. Iannuccilli owned a .233 slugging percentage, a .387 on-base percentage and a .996 fielding percentage.
 
As a sophomore in 2022, Iannuccilli played in 19 games, starting four of them. He batted .118 (2-for-17) with one run scored, two hits and two RBI. Iannuccilli owned a .118 slugging percentage, a .158 on-base percentage and a 1.000 fielding percentage.
 
As a freshman in 2021, Iannuccilli played in 14 games, starting 12 of them. He batted .275 (11-for-40) with 10 runs scored, 11 hits, two doubles and four RBI. Iannuccilli owned a .325 slugging percentage, .408 on-base percentage and a .991 fielding percentage.
 
He is an accounting major and a 2020 graduate of Johnston High School.
 
Fifth-year pitcher Terry Murray (Norfolk, Mass.) closed out his Rhode Island College career, having appeared in 47 games, starting 33 of them. He was 20-9 with two saves, a 4.01 ERA and 214 strikeouts in 233.1 innings of work.
 
As a fifth-year in 2025, Murray appeared in 11 games, starting 10 of them. He was 4-4 with a 4.42 ERA and 58 strikeouts in 59.0 innings pitched.
 
As a junior in 2023, Murray was named ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. III Third Team All-Region 2, First Team All-Region 2 by D3baseball.com, the Little East Pitcher of the Year and First Team All-Little East. Murray appeared in 12 games, starting eight of them. He was 8-2 with two saves, a 2.57 ERA and 77 strikeouts in 70.0 innings of work. Murray was named Little East Pitcher of the Week once on the season.
 
As a sophomore in 2022, Murray was named Third Team All-Little East. Murray appeared in 12 games, starting eight of them. He was 5-2 with a 3.95 ERA and 51 strikeouts in 54.2 innings pitched.
 
As a freshman in 2021, Murray appeared in 11 games, starting six of them. He was 3-1 with a 5.48 ERA and 22 strikeouts in 42.2 innings pitched.
 
In 2020, Murray appeared and started one game. He was 0-0 with a 6.43 ERA and six strikeouts in 7.0 innings. 
 
He is a sports management major and a 2019 graduate of King Philip High School. Murray spent his senior year at Div. I Xavier in 2024.
 
Fifth-year third baseman Cal Parrillo (Greenville, R.I.) closed out his Rhode Island College career, having played in 155 games, starting 153 of them. He batted .367 (223-for-607) with 146 runs scored, 223 hits, 42 doubles, six triples, 14 home runs, 163 RBI and 20 stolen bases. Parrillo owned a .526 slugging percentage, a .439 on-base percentage and a .967 fielding percentage.
 
As a fifth-year in 2025, Parrillo played in 39 games, starting all of them. He batted .303 (44-for-145) with 32 runs scored, 44 hits, seven doubles, two triples, two home runs, 22 RBI and one stolen base. He owned a .421 slugging percentage, a .388 on-base percentage and a .924 fielding percentage.
 
As a junior in 2023, Parrillo was named First Team All-New England Region 2 by the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIGA), ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. III First Team All-Region 2, First Team All-Region 2 by D3baseball.com and First Team All-Little East. Parrillo played in 43 games, starting all of them. He batted .385 (69-for-179) with 42 runs scored, 69 hits, 14 doubles, one triple, four home runs, 55 RBI and seven stolen bases. Parrillo owned a .542 slugging percentage, .448 on-base percentage and a .933 fielding percentage. He established program records for both single season and career RBI. Parrillo was named Little East Player of the Week once on the season.
 
As a sophomore in 2022, Parrillo was named All-New England First Team by the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA). He was also named a D3baseball.com Fifth Team All-American, First Team All-Little East, First Team All-Region by D3baseball.com and First Team All-Region by ABCA/Rawlings. Parrillo played in 40 games, starting all of them. He batted .430 (71-for-165) with 51 runs scored, 71 hits, 14 doubles, two triples, seven home runs, 52 RBI and seven stolen bases. Parrillo owned a .667 slugging percentage, a .505 on-base percentage and a .977 fielding percentage.
 
As a freshman in 2021, Parrillo played in 33 games, starting 31 of them. He batted .331 (39-for-118) with 21 runs scored, 39 hits, seven doubles, one triple, one home run, 34 RBI and five stolen bases. Parrillo owned a .432 slugging percentage, .394 on-base percentage and a .988 fielding percentage.
 
He is a secondary education and sociology major and a 2020 graduate of Ponaganset High School. Parrillo spent his senior year at Div. I Stonybrook in 2024.
 
Fifth-year shortstop Izaiah Rivera (Pawtucket, R.I) closed out his Rhode Island College career, having played in 181 games, starting 166 of them. He batted .273 (169-for-619) with 124 runs scored, 169 hits, 36 doubles, six triples, 16 home runs, 114 RBI and 11 stolen bases. Rivera owned .428 slugging percentage, a .359 on-base percentage and a .919 fielding percentage.
 
As a fifth-year in 2025, Rivera was named All-Region II by the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) and was selected to play in the annual NEIBA All-Star Game. He was also named Second Team All-Region by D3baseball.com, First Team All-Region II by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings and First Team All-Little East. Rivera played in 40 games, starting all of them. He batted .344 (53-for-154) with 34 runs scored, 53 hits, nine doubles, four triples, five home runs and 33 RBI. Rivera owned a .552 slugging percentage, a .400 on-base percentage and a .960 fielding percentage. He was named the Little East Player of the Week once on the season.
 
As a senior in 2024, Rivera played in 34 games, starting all of them. He batted .273 (35-128) with 26 runs scored, 35 hits, 11 doubles, five home runs and 25 RBI. Rivera owned a .477 slugging percentage, .385 on-base percentage and a .891 fielding percentage.
 
As a junior in 2023, Rivera played in 41 games, starting in all of them. He batted .224 (33-for-147) with 22 runs scored, 33 hits, six doubles, one triple, two home runs, 19 RBI and three stolen bases. Rivera owned a .320 slugging percentage, a .316 on-base percentage and a .919 fielding percentage.
 
As a sophomore in 2022, Rivera was named Third Team All-Little East. Rivera played in 38 games, starting all of them. He batted .286 (38-for-133) with 33 runs scored, 38 hits, seven doubles, one triple, three home runs, 32 RBI and five stolen bases. Rivera owned a .421 slugging percentage, a .359 on-base percentage and a .928 fielding percentage.
 
As a freshman in 2021, Rivera played in 25 games, starting 13 of them.  He batted .164 (9-for-55) with nine runs scored, nine hits, three doubles, one home run, four RBI and three stolen bases. Rivera owned a .273 slugging percentage, .292 on-base percentage and an .847 fielding percentage.
 
In 2020, Rivera played in three games. He batted .500 (1-for-2) with one hit and one RBI. Rivera owned a .500 slugging percentage and a .500 on-base percentage. 
 
Rivera is a sociology major and a 2019 graduate of Tolman High School.
 
Fifth-year outfielder Justin Wardwell (Westport, Mass.) closed out his Rhode Island College career, having played in 106 games, starting 82 of them. He batted .292 (93-for-319) with 65 runs scored, 93 hits, 14 doubles, two triples, six home runs, 48 RBI and 11 stolen bases. Wardwell owned a .404 slugging percentage, a .366 on-base percentage and a .959 fielding percentage.
 
As a fifth-year in 2025, Wardwell played in 31 games, starting all of them. He batted .284 (33-for-116) with 24 runs scored, 33 hits, six doubles, three home runs, 18 RBI and six stolen bases. He owned a .414 slugging percentage, a .364 on-base percentage and a 1.000 fielding percentage.
 
As a senior in 2024, Wardwell played in 35 games, starting all of them. He batted .326 (44-for-135), with 27 runs, 44 hits, six doubles, one triple, two home runs, 16 RBI and two stolen bases. Wardwell owned a .430 slugging percentage, .377 on-base percentage and a .951 fielding percentage.
 
As a junior in 2023, Wardwell played in 10 games, starting two of them. He scored one run and posted a 1.000 fielding percentage.
 
As a sophomore in 2022, Wardwell played in 30 games, starting 14 of them. He batted .271 (16-for-59) with 13 runs scored, 16 hits, two doubles, one triple, one home run, 14 RBI and three stolen bases. Wardwell owned a .390 slugging percentage, a .395 on-base percentage and a .889 fielding percentage.
 
He is a business and marketing major and a 2019 graduate of Bridgton Academy. Prior to coming to RIC, Wardwell spent two seasons at Endicott.
 
Senior pitcher Garrett Bolwell (Chepachet, R.I.) closed out his career having appeared in 12 games. He was 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA and eight strikeouts in 14.0 innings of work.
 
As a senior in 2025, Bolwell appeared in six games. He was 0-1 with a 11.57 ERA and four strikeouts in 7.0 innings pitched.
 
As a junior in 2024, Bolwell appeared in six games. He registered a 6.43 ERA and four strikeouts in 7.0 innings of work.
 
He is a business management major and a 2021 graduate of Ponaganset High School. Prior to coming to RIC, Bolwell played at the Community College of Rhode Island.
 
Senior pitcher Liam Dailey (Franklin, Mass.) closed out his career having appeared in 24 games, starting 11 of them. He was 3-5 with a 7.92 ERA and 39 strikeouts in 74.0 innings of work.
 
As a senior in 2025, Dailey appeared in six games, starting one of them. He was 0-2 with a 6.35 ERA and 10 strikeouts in 11.1 innings pitched.
 
As a junior in 2024, Dailey appeared in 10 games, starting all of them. He was 2-3 with an 8.32 ERA and 22 strikeouts in 48.2 innings of work.
 
As a sophomore in 2023, Dailey appeared in seven games. He was 1-0 with a 7.90 ERA and seven strikeouts in 13.2 innings pitched.
 
As a freshman in 2022, Dailey appeared in one game. He was 0-0 with a 0.00 ERA in 0.1 innings pitched.
 
He is a wellness and exercise science major and a 2020 graduate of Franklin High School.
 
Senior catcher Lucas Pierce (Chepachet, R.I.) closed out his career having played in 118 games, starting 111 of them. He batted .265 (106-for-400) with 78 runs scored, 106 hits, 19 doubles, 18 home runs and 100 RBI. Pierce owned a .448 slugging percentage, a .369 on-base percentage and a .991 fielding percentage.
 
As a senior in 2025, Pierce was named Second Team All-Little East. He played in 37 games, starting all of them. Pierce batted .283 (41-for-145) with 35 runs scored, 41 hits, eight doubles, 11 home runs and 39 RBI. He owned a .566 slugging percentage, a .377 on-base percentage and a .992 fielding percentage.
 
As a junior in 2024, Pierce played in 20 games, starting in 19 of them. He batted .226 (14-for-62) with seven runs scored, 14 hits, two doubles and seven RBI. Pierce owned a .258 slugging percentage, .377 on-base percentage and a .991 fielding percentage.
 
As a sophomore in 2023, Pierce played in 22 games, starting 18 of them. He batted .203 (12-for-59) with seven runs scored, 12 hits, two doubles, two home runs and nine RBI. Pierce owned a .339 slugging percentage, a .288 on-base percentage and a .991 fielding percentage.
 
As a freshman in 2022, Pierce was named Third Team All-Little East. Pierce played in 39 games, starting 37 of them. He batted .291 (39-for-134) with 29 runs scored, 39 hits, seven doubles, five home runs and 45 RBI. Pierce owned a .455 slugging percentage, a .390 on-base percentage and a .991 fielding percentage. He was named the Little East Rookie of the Week once this season.
 
He is a justice studies and sociology major and a 2021 graduate of Ponaganset High School.
 
Senior pitcher Ryan Seaver (Norton, Mass.) closed out his career having appeared in 19 games, starting 10 of them. He was 3-4 with a 7.29 ERA and 33 strikeouts in 54.1 innings of work.
 
As a senior in 2025, Seaver appeared in seven games, starting two of them. He was 1-1 with a 5.23 ERA and two strikeouts in 10.1 innings pitched.
 
As a junior in 2024, Seaver appeared in seven games, starting all of them. He was 2-3 with a 6.11 ERA and 24 strikeouts in 35.1 innings pitched.
 
As a sophomore in 2023, Seaver appeared in four games, starting one of them. He was 0-0 with a 11.57 ERA and seven strikeouts in 7.0 innings pitched.
 
As a freshman in 2022, Seaver appeared in one game. He was 0-0 with a 27.00 ERA in 1.2 innings pitched.
 
He is a nursing major and a 2021 graduate of Bishop Feehan High School.
 
Senior first baseman Daniel Trzepacz (Mont Vernon, N.H.) closed out his career having played in 158 games, starting all of them. He batted .351 (223-for-635) with 162 runs scored, 223 hits, 55 doubles, one triple, 23 home runs, 150 RBI and six stolen bases. Trzepacz owned a .550 slugging percentage, a .454 on-base percentage and a .989 fielding percentage.
 
As a senior in 2025, Trzepacz was named Third Team All-Little East. He played in 40 games, starting all of them. Trzepacz batted .362 (55-for-152) with 31 runs scored, 55 hits, 11 doubles, one triple, five home runs and 31 RBI. He owned a .546 slugging percentage, a .474 on-base percentage and a .987 fielding percentage. Trzepacz was named the Little East Player of the Week once on the season.
 
As a junior in 2024, Trzepacz was named Second Team All-Region by D3baseball.com, ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. III All-Region 2 and First Team All-Little East. Trzepacz played in 35 games, starting in all of them. He batted .359 (52-for-145) with 40 runs scored, 52 hits, 16 doubles, eight home runs, 36 RBI and three stolen bases. Trzepacz owned a .634 slugging percentage, .435 on-base percentage and a .988 fielding percentage. He was named the Little East Player of the Week once on the season.
 
As a sophomore in 2023, Trzepacz was named Third Team All-Little East. He played in 43 games, starting all of them. He batted .283 (49-for-173) with 36 runs scored, 49 hits, 14 doubles, three home runs and 33 RBI. Trzepacz owned a .416 slugging percentage, a .387 on-base percentage and a .989 fielding percentage.
 
As a freshman in 2022, Trzepacz was named Second Team All-Region by ABCA/Rawlings. Trzepacz was also named the Little East Rookie of the Year, First Team All-Little East and Second Team All-Region by D3baseball.com. Trzepacz played in 40 games, starting all of them. He batted .406 (67-for-165) with 55 runs scored, 67 hits, 14 doubles, seven home runs, 50 RBI and three stolen bases. Trzepacz owned a .618 slugging percentage, a .520 on-base percentage and a .992 fielding percentage. He was named Little East Rookie of the Week on five occasions.
 
He is a finance major and a 2021 graduate of Souheagan High School. Prior to coming to RIC, Trzepacz spent one year at Div. I Delaware.
 
Junior outfielder CJ Almagno (North Providence, R.I.) played in 10 games, starting six of them. He batted .192 (5-for-26) with three runs scored, five hits, three doubles, three RBI and one stolen base. Almagno owned a .308 slugging percentage, a .300 on-base percentage and a 1.000 fielding percentage.
 
Junior pitcher Calvin Battersby (West Warwick, R.I) appeared in 10 games. He owned a 5.40 ERA with 24 strikeouts in 15 innings pitched .
 
Junior first baseman/outfielder Daniel Cascio (East Hampton, Conn.) played in 26 games, starting 18 of them. He batted .243 (18-for-74) with 16 runs scored, 18 hits, four doubles, one triple, two home runs and 17 RBI. He owned a .405 slugging percentage, a .341 on-base percentage and a .971 fielding percentage.
 
Junior pitcher Cameron Foster (Attleboro, Mass.) appeared in seven games. He owned an 8.10 ERA with four strikeouts in 6.2 innings pitched.

He played in 40 games, starting all of them. Camelo batted .327 (55-for-168) with 38 runs, 55 hits, 10 doubles, four home runs, 24 RBI and eight stolen bases. He owned a .458 slugging percentage, a .402 on-base percentage and a .970 fielding percentage.
 
Sophomore pitcher Jake Foster (Lincoln, R.I.) appeared in 14 games, starting one of them. He was 1-2 with a 6.65 ERA with 15 strikeouts in 23 innings pitched.
 
Sophomore pitcher Alexander Iannuccilli (Cumberland, R.I.) appeared in four games. He owned a 22.09 ERA with six strikeouts in 3.2 innings pitched.
