Wolves Down Anchorwomen, 3-0

Danbury, Conn.--Junior outside hitter Marina Colonis (Waterford, Conn.) and classmate libero Carolyn Bailey (Ipswich, Mass.) combined for 20 digs as Rhode Island College fell at Western Connecticut, 3-0 (25-21, 25-13, 25-8), in Little East action played at the William A. O'Neill Center on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• After falling narrowly in the opening frame, 25-22, the Anchorwomen could not hold back the Wolves' surge falling, 25-13 and 25-8, in sets two and three to suffer the loss.
 
• Bailey tallied 12 digs, while Colonis pitched in with eight.

• Junior setter Yuleisy Alvelo (San Juan, Puerto Rico) led the Anchorwomen with nine assists. Junior middle hitter Andrayah Williams (North Providence, R.I.) finished with four kills and three blocks.
 
• The loss officially eliminated the Anchorwomen from the upcoming Little East Championship.
 
WHAT'S NEXT
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will play at Anna Maria on Tuesday, Nov. 4 (6 p.m.).
