HOW IT HAPPENED
• A kill from senior outside hitter Sydnee Pires (Rochester, Mass.) gave RIC an early, 14-6, lead before the visitors went on a run. The hosts buckled down and finished out the first set with a win, 25-10.

• The Anchorwomen did not give Regis a chance to breathe in the second stanza as junior outside hitter Marina Colonis (Waterford, Conn.) notched a service ace down the stretch to help RIC win, 25-15, as the hosts took a two-set lead.

• Despite trailing by two sets, the Pride were not fazed as they took the next two sets, 25-19 and 25-22, to force a decisive fifth stanza.

• Sophomore libero Caroline Morrell (Gorham, Maine) posted a pair of service aces to open the last set, which eventually propelled the Anchorwomen to victory, 15-11. Junior middle hitter Andrayah Williams (North Providence, R.I.) smacked an emphatic kill for the set and matching-winning point.
