Owen Kane begins his second year as the assistant sports information director. Kane works alongside Assistant Athletic Director for Media Relations and Promotions Scott Gibbons.
Kane is responsible for sports broadcasting, journalism and information regarding all RIC sports and events.
Kane is a 2024 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in communications with a focus in sports broadcasting.
He was the primary on-air talent throughout his undergrad years in which he called Division II sports located in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC). Kane was in charge of all broadcasts that took place at Pitt-Johnstown and helped other students learn the basics of sports broadcasting.
Kane is a former resident of Millville, Massachusetts, but now resides in Bourne.
