David Iannuccilli

David Iannuccilli ’24 begins his first season as an assistant baseball coach at Rhode Island College.

“We are very excited to have David joining the staff,” Head Coach Cody Kauffman said. “As a player on some of the most successful teams in program history, he brings a great energy to the staff. He will primarily work with catchers/hitters.”

“I am very excited to come back to Rhode Island College, a place that has played such an important role in my growth both on and off the field,” Iannuccilli said. “Having just graduated last year, it’s an honor to now step into a coaching role and give back to the program that has given me so much. I look forward to working alongside the coaching staff and helping our student-athletes reach their full potential as both baseball players and as individuals.”

The Johnston, R.I. native was one of the top defensive catchers in the Little East during his career as an Anchorman from 2021-25. He was a member of the first Little East Regular Season Championship in program history in 2023. Iannuccilli made just four errors in 744 chances, accumulating a .995 career fielding percentage and throwing out 28 would-be base-stealers.

Iannuccilli earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Rhode Island College in 2024 and is currently finishing his master’s degree in professional accounting.
