Five Anchorwomen Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

Providence, R.I.--The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its individual and team academic award recipients for the 2018-19 academic year, recognizing five RIC student-athletes and the RIC Women's Track & Field Program.

To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 and must have met at least one of the following athletic standards - competed in an NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship, finished the regular season ranked in the national top-50 in an individual event or ranked in the national top-35 in a relay event on the official NCAA Descending Order List. Programs receiving the All-Academic Team Award must have a cumulative team GPA of at least a 3.10 for all student-athletes who were charged a season of eligibility during the 2018-19 season.

Five Anchorwomen were recognized. In addition to the RIC women's track & field program, the women's programs from Plymouth State University, Southern Maine and UMass Dartmouth also received the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Award.
