Boston, Mass.--Rhode Island College sophomore Chelsea Yang (Warwick, RI) earned All-American honors with a second place finish in the weight throw (19.21m) at the 2019 NCAA Div. III Women's Indoor Track & Field National Championship, hosted by UMass Boston at the Reggie Lewis Center on Friday.
This marks the second straight season that Yang has earned All-American honors as she notched a fourth place finish in the weight throw at the NCAA Div. III Women's Indoor National Championship in 2018
Senior Oluwafunmibi Yusuff (Providence, RI) recorded a 10th place finish in the weight throw (16.69m) for the Anchorwomen.
Senior Margaret McCaffrey (East Greenwich, RI) registered a fourth place finish (2:18.48) in her heat of the 800m preliminaries. She did not advance to tomorrow's finals.
Earlier in the day, junior Emma Landroche (Warwick, RI) notched a 10th place finish (5.47m) in the long jump.
RIC finished the competition with 8.0 team points, which was good for a tie for 29th place among the 76 teams that were represented.
