Providence, R.I.—Rhode Island College freshman Jenna Lisi (Cranston, RI) was named the Little East Women’s Tennis Player and Rookie of the Week for her performance in a 2-0 week for the Anchorwomen. It is the fourth time this fall she has been named the Player of the Week and the fifth ROTW honor for her.

Lisi went 1-0 at No. 1 singles and paired with junior Laurel Ten Eyck (Warwick, RI) to go 2-0 at No. 1 doubles on the week. The Anchorwomen downed No. 5-seeded Bridgewater State, 5-0, in the semifinals on Oct. 18.
For the season, Lisi is 14-1 in singles action and 15-1 in doubles matches.
Head Coach Adam Spring’s team is currently 15-1 overall and finished the regular season with a perfect, 9-0, mark in the Little East. The Anchorwomen won the program’s fifth straight and 10th overall Little East Regular Season Championship. RIC won the program’s third straight and ninth overall tournament title.
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College is off for the remainder of the fall and will resume action in the spring in preparation for the NCAA Div. III Women’s Tennis Championship in May.
