Wrestling Drops, 44-3, Decision Against Roger Williams

Providence, R.I.— The Rhode Island College wrestling team dropped a 44-3 decision against Roger Williams in New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) action held at the Murray Center on Friday evening. The match was the final regular home match for RIC seniors Tim Caplan (Portland, CT), Michael Gallagher (Saunderstown, RI) and Stephen Masi (Cumberland, RI).

• RIC freshman Travis Manick (Methuen, MA) picked up the first points of the night for the Anchormen when he posted an 8-6 win at 197 lbs. against RWU sophomore Anthony Malfitano (Pearl River, NY).

• RWU senior Adam Patsum (Somers, CT) picked up the first pin of the evening at 285 lbs., while freshman Chris Fuschetto (Clark, NJ) also won by fall for the Hawks at 141 lbs.

• Roger Williams took nine of the 10 matches, which included four wins by pin, en route to the 45-3 victory.
