Seth Larbi

Seth Larbi ’20 begins his third season as an assistant men's and women's track and field coach at Rhode Island College. He works primarily with the throwers and serves as the recruiting coordinator for both programs.
 
Larbi coached both indoor and outdoor track and field for one season and has carried out duties as the offensive and defense line coach for the football team at Central Falls High School for the past three seasons. Off the track, Larbi has served in various community leadership roles in youth development, writing, performance arts and athletics in Pawtucket and Central Falls.
 
The Pawtucket, Rhode Island native earned a bachelor’s degree from Rhode Island College in 2020. He spent four seasons on the outdoor track and field team and three on the indoor squad, specializing in the hammer, shot, weight throw and discus events.
 
In addition to his coaching duties, Larbi serves as a college advisor at Tolman High School.
 
He resides in Pawtucket.
 
RIC OUTDOOR CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
As a senior in 2018, Larbi placed eighth in the shot (11.53m) and 11th in the hammer (46.13m) at the MIT Last Chance Meet on May 17. He finished 14th in the hammer (45.17m) at the N.E. Championship on May 5. Larbi finished seventh in the hammer (44.93) at the Alliance Championship on April 28. He finished sixth in the hammer (42.58m), 11th in the shot (11.14) and 15th in the discus (30.06m) at the Sean Collier Invitational on April 21. Larbi finished 12th in the hammer (42.39m), 22nd in the shot (11.33) and 35th in the discus (27.72m) at the Silfen Invitational on April 14. He finished fifth in the hammer (42.43m) at the Yellow Jacket Invitational on April 7. Larbi finished eighth in the hammer (46.61m) at the Bryant Black & Gold Invitational on March 31.
 
As a junior in 2016, Larbi finished 13th in the hammer (41.73m; season-best) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Apr. 30. He finished 11th in the hammer (41.14m), 27th in the shot (9.63m) and 27th in the discus (29.24m; season-best) at the Sean Collier Invitational on Apr. 23. Larbi finished 34th in the shot (10.55m; season-best) and 35th in the discus (28.40m) at the 2016 Silfen Invitational on Apr. 16. He finished 20th in the hammer (39.46m) at the Yellow Jacket Invitational on Apr. 9. Larbi finished 11th in the hammer (38.68m), 28th in the discus (26.79m) and 31st in the shot (9.43m) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Apr. 2.
 
As a sophomore in 2015, Larbi finished 12th in the hammer (39.99m) at the Alliance Championship on Apr. 25. He placed 11th in the hammer (42.78m; season-best), 21st in the discus (29.47m; season-best) and 22nd in the shot (10.04m) at the Eric Loeschner Invitational on Apr. 18. Larbi finished 14th in the hammer (38.84m) at the Brown Invitational on Apr. 11. He finished 15th in the shot (10.26m; season-best) and 19th in the discus (28.09m) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Mar. 28.
 
As a freshman in 2014, Larbi finished 16th in the hammer (37.38m) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on April 27. He finished sixth in the hammer (37.58m; season-best), 10th in the shot (10.12m; season-best) and 14th in the discus (21.96m) at the Silfen Invitational on April 19. Larbi finished 10th in the shot (9.67m) at the Brown Invitational on April 12. He finished 42nd in the shot (9.33m) at the Corsair Invitational on April 5. Larbi finished 16th in the hammer (36.68m) and 28th in the shot (9.52m) at the Coast Guard Invitational on March 29.
 
RIC INDOOR CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
As a junior in 2015-16, Larbi finished eighth in the weight throw (14.75m; season-best) at the Tufts Last Chance Meet on Mar. 4. He finished 37th in the weight throw (14.06m) at the John Thomas Terrier Invitational on Jan. 29-30. Larbi finished fourth in the weight throw (13.70m) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 24. He finished sixth in the weight throw (13.70m) and 12th in the shot (10.12m; season-best) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 16. Larbi finished 10th in the weight throw (13.72m) at the Jay Carisella Invitational on Dec. 12. He finished seventh in the weight throw (13.93m) and 14th in the shot (9.94m) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 5.
 
As a sophomore in 2014-15, Larbi finished in 18th place in the weight throw (13.64m) at the N.E. Championships on Feb. 20-21. He earned N.E. Alliance honors with a fifth place finish in the weight throw (14.87m; season-best) at the Alliance Championships on Feb. 14. Larbi finished 18th in the shot (10.35m; season-best) and 13th in the weight throw (13.82m) at the Scarlet and White Invitational on Feb. 7. He placed 28th in the weight throw (14.48m) at the John Thomas Terrier Invitational on Jan. 31. Larbi placed fourth in the weight throw (14.60m) and 14th in the shot (9.91m) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 24. He finished fourth in the weight throw (13.94m) and 10th in the shot (8.98m) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 17. Larbi finished 20th in the weight throw (12.40m) and 31st in the shot (10.08m) at the Yale Invitational on Jan. 10. He placed 19th in the weight throw (13.36m) at the Jay Carisella Invitational on Dec. 13. Larbi finished sixth in the weight throw (13.88m) and 14th in the shot (10.07m) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 6.
 
As a freshman in 2013-14, Larbi finished 69th in the weight throw (9.87m) at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Feb. 8. He finished 15th in the weight throw (10.54m) at the Tufts Stampede Invitational on Feb. 1. Larbi placed 45th in the weight throw (12.13m; season-best) at the John Thomas Terrier Invitational on Jan. 25. He finished 10th in the weight throw (11.15m) and 16th in the shot (9.28m) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 18. Larbi finished fifth in the shot (9.29m; season-best) and sixth in the weight throw (9.83m) at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 11.
