Men's Cross Country Finishes Sixth at Little East Championship

Dartmouth, Mass.--Rhode Island College junior Andre Solomon-Messier (North Providence, RI) finished 27th with a time of 27:17.72 as the Anchormen finished sixth (eighth teams) at the 2019 Little East Men's Cross Country Championship, hosted by UMass Dartmouth on Saturday afternoon.

THE BASICS
• Rhode Island College placed sixth (eight teams) with a score of 159.0. Southern Maine won the title with a score of 37.

• It was an 8k race and there were 86 competitors at the meet. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Freshman Cole Baker (Warwick, RI) finished 30th (27:28.96).

• Freshman Ianique Imboque (Providence, RI) finished 33rd (27:37.67).

• Freshman Austin Michael (Swansea, MA) finished 36th (27:39.16).

• Sophomore Matt Russom (Port Kent, NY) finished 61st (29:41.85).

• Junior Dylan Brobisky (West Warwick, RI) finished 63rd (29:45.29).

• Senior Mohammed Chaghlil (Warwick, RI) finished 66th (30:14.73).

WHAT'S NEXT
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the 2019 New England Div. III Championships, hosted by Bowdoin on Saturday, Nov. 16 (11 a.m.).
