Men's Cross Country Finishes 21st at UMass Dartmouth Invitational

North Dartmouth, Mass.--Freshman Cole Baker (Warwick, RI) placed 41st overall with a time of 26:32.40 to lead the Rhode Island College men's cross country team at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

THE BASICS
• The race was a five mile run and featured 257 competitors.

• RIC finished in 21st place (36 teams) with 606.0 points, while WPI finished in first place with 24.0 points on the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Freshman Ianique Imboque (Providence, RI) placed 105th (28:14.81). 

• Freshman Austin Michael (Swansea, MA) finished 106th overall (28:15.20).

• Sophomore Matthew Russom (Port Kent, NY) placed 197th (30:56.54).

• Senior Mohammed Chaghlil (Warwick, RI) placed 200th (31:04.80).

• Junior Dylan Brobisky (West Warwick, RI) placed 215th (32:10.12)

WHAT'S NEXT
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the Westfield State Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 12 (Noon).
