RIC Men's Cross Country Opens 2019 Season at Bryant Invitational

Smithfield, R.I.—Freshman Cole Baker (Warwick, RI) placed 48th overall with a time of 26:47.1 to lead the Rhode Island College men's cross country team at the Shawn M. Nassaney Memorial Road Race hosted by Bryant University on Saturday afternoon.

THE BASICS
• The race was an 8k and featured 128 competitors.

• RIC finished in 11th place (11 teams) with 333.0 points, while Northeastern finished in first place with 24.0 points on the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Freshman Austin Michael (Swansea, MA) finished 96th overall (28:23.2).

• Junior Andre Solomon-Messier (North Providence, RI) placed 97th (28:23.3).

• Freshman Ianique Imboque (Providence, RI) placed 105th (28:41.0), while sophomore Matthew Russom (Port Kent, NY) placed 124th (30:21.0).

• Junior Dylan Brobisky (West Warwick, RI) placed 128th (33:46.7).

WHAT'S NEXT
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will travel to the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 21.
