Ethan Hoy & Head Coach Adam Spring Earn LEC Men's Tennis Awards

Providence, R.I.-Rhode Island College sophomore Ethan Hoy (West Warwick, RI) and Head Men’s Tennis Coach Adam Spring were honored by the Little East Conference with post-season accolades, announced by the conference office on Wednesday afternoon. 

Hoy earned Second Team All-Little East honors in singles. Hoy posted an 8-5 (.615) record in singles play, competing at the No. 4 spot for the Anchormen. He also had an impressive 12-3 (.800) mark at No. 3 doubles on the year. 

Spring was named the Little East Men’s Tennis Coach of the Year. In two seasons at RIC, Spring has guided the Anchormen to a 23-10 record with a pair of appearance in the semifinals of the Little East Championship. Spring also serves as the head women’s tennis coach at RIC and has been named the conference’s Coach of the Year three times (2018, 2015, 2013) during his career.

In 2019, RIC posted a 10-5 overall record with a 5-2 mark in the LEC. The Anchormen registered a third place finish in the conference standings and advanced to the semifinals of the conference tournament before falling to No. 2 Salem State, 5-0, on May 3.
