Gene St. Pierre begins his second season as the head men's golf coach at Rhode Island College. In his first season with the program, St. Pierre led RIC to a seventh place finish at the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship and the Anchormen finished 21st at the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championship.
Prior to taking the men's head coach's position, St. Pierre spent the three previous seasons as the head women's golf coach at RIC. In 2017-18, St. Pierre led the Anchorwomen to a third place finish at the NEIGA Championship with a pair of All-New England honorees. The Anchorwomen also registered a seventh place finish at the Empire Eight Championship.
During his tenure as an assistant coach with the men's golf program, Rhode Island College won four consecutive GNAC Championships (2011-14) and made four straight trips to the NCAA Div. III National Championships (2012-15).
St. Pierre earned a bachelor’s degree from Rhode Island College in 1977.
He resides in Cranston, Rhode Island with his wife Susanne ’77. They have two sons, Gregory (34) and Brian (31).
