Narragansett, R.I.--Rhode Island College had a large footprint at this past Friday's Blessing of the Fleet Road Race that attracted thousands of runners and spectators. 

Members of the college's admissions, alumni/foundation, student success and athletics staff engaged the many attendees, especially those that proclaimed their Rhode Island College roots. Leadership for the event was provided by Vice Presidents Cindy Kozil and Jen Giroux, as well as Director of Athletics Don Tencher. 

Tencher exclaimed "This is always a great event for engagement and it especially makes an impact in the South Country area where RIC continues to draw more and more students from. I know Cindy, Jen and myself are thankful for of those staff members who volunteered, as well as the hundreds of people that we came in contact with on a beautiful night in Narragansett. Also, hats off to the Narragansett Lion's Club for another outstanding event!"
