Providence, R.I.—Sophomore No. 2 singles Ethan Clegg (Chepachet, R.I.) won in straight sets to clinch a 6-1 win for Rhode Island College over Wentworth at the RIC Tennis Center on Monday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchormen swept all three doubles contests to hold a 1-0 lead heading into singles. Juniors Hajji Glover (Foxboro, Mass.) and Liam Berube (Warwick, R.I.) posted a dominant, 6-1, win at third doubles.
 
• The sophomores sealed the fifth straight win for the club as Kyle Neuendorf (Attleboro, Mass.), James McShane (Riverside, R.I.) and Clegg each won in straight sets.
