HOW IT HAPPENED
• Although the Beacons led off with a run in both the first and second stanzas, the Anchorwomen soon tied it up in the second as Bailey singled to center to bring in a pair.

• Junior shortstop Joey Meyer (South Milwaukee, Wis.) gave RIC the lead, 3-2, as notched an RBI groundout in the third.

• However, a five-run fifth inning by the visitors sealed the Anchorwomen's fate and stopped the club's modest four-game winning streak.

• Sophomore Gabrielle Sweeney (Shirley, Mass.) and freshman Lily Bell (Coventry, R.I.) each went 2-for-3 in the game.

• Senior pitcher Gabby Cunha (Cranston, R.I.) was dealt the loss (3-3).
