HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Saints wasted no time and jumped out to an early 10-point, 13-3, lead before the hosts rattled off four straight points to find their footing.

• Despite battling all the way back to face a four point deficit, 23-19, RIC would fall in the opening frame, 25-20.

• The Anchorwomen made quick work and won the second set, 25-14, but would fall in another close battle during the third stanza, 25-21.

• Marines notched a service ace in the fourth to bring RIC's deficit to one, 18-17, but Emmanuel dealt the Anchorwomen five straight points, which would silence the hopes of a comeback.
• Senior middle hitter
Sydnee Pires (Rochester, Mass.) posted 10 kills, four blocks and six digs in the effort.
