Faith Owren (Richmond, R.I.) and
Addison Hadlock (Littleton, N.H.) snapped a 1-1 doubles deadlock with a 6-4 victory at No. 3 doubles to give the hosts a 1-0 lead.
• Botelho won in straight sets (6-3, 6-0), sophomore
Arianna De Thomas (Providence, R.I.) won via retirement, and after a Lion victory, sophomore
Emilia Houwers (Whitewater, Wis.) clinched the win with a (6-4, 6-2) straight set victory at No. 4 singles.
