Clermont, Fla.—Sophomore right fielder Melanie Earley (Lumberton, N.J.) knocked in what proved to be the game-winning run and senior pitcher Abby Kidd (Granby, Conn.) came on in relief to secure her second win, as Rhode Island College bested Montclair State, 4-3, in the club's final game of their southern trip on Wednesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Trailing, 2-1, heading into the bottom of the fourth, RIC scored three times to build a 4-2 lead. The Anchorwomen scored on an error, junior second baseman Noelle Simmons (Goffstown, N.H.) notched a sacrifice fly and Earley capped the frame with an RBI single.
 
• Kidd allowed just one run on four hits and struck out five in 3.2 innings of work to secure the win (2-1).
 
• Senior shortstop Amanda Conti (Lincoln, R.I.) went 2-for-4.
